A lifetime resident of the Cereal City Donnie and his wife Patricia have three grown children.
Donnie Speck started in the financial services industry in 1984 on a part-time basis with the old Franklin Life Insurance Company while he managed his full time job as the assistant manager of the Minges Creek Racquet Club in Battle Creek, MI. After a few months, the part-time insurance position turned full-time and Donnie expanded into a full financial services planning firm to better serve his clients.
Always priding himself in being transparent with clients, Donnie is up-front and clear about all of the features, benefits, pros, and cons of the products and services that he offers from a wide variety of leading financial companies and carriers. There are a lot of financial products, firms, and representatives to choose from, but Donnie Speck of Speck Financial sets himself apart by being there for his clients when they need him most-which is always. The advisor-client relationship is like a marriage. It’s a life-long commitment through the ups and downs and turbulent times that life sometimes brings. It is also being there and communicating with clients on a consistent basis when the market is down, when their job ends, when the distribution of retirement plans begin, and when a loved one passes away.
The process starts with an initial meeting to get to know a prospective client and understand his or her needs and financial goals. Eventually, a financial “game plan” is created and clearly presented. This game plan is reviewed at least annually and changes made based upon a change in a client’s current situation or goals.
At Speck Financial Services, we work first and foremost for our clients, not a particular company.
